(Disclaimer: NewsFlash solely represents the views of Ari Massefski, and does not represent the views of WDIS AM 1170, Discussion Radio, Inc., or any of its affiliates or partners.) Ari Massefski in his Own Words:In 2004, I participated in the L'Chaim project, which gave me an opportunity to be filmed while interviewing Holocaust survivors. From then on, I knew I wanted to spend my life on the air. A year later, I began doing play-by-play of Little League baseball games on Sharon Community Television. In 2007, I started hosting my own TV show, also called Eye on the Ball, on SCTV. It was a sports interview show, and I had the privilege of interviewing many famous guests, including Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe and Rich Gedman, formerly of the Boston Red Sox. In the summer of 2008, I began broadcasting American Legion baseball games live on WDIS, and in December of 2008, I started to host Eye on the Ball, my first live show. I am eighteen years old, a senior at the Maimonides School in Brookline, MA. I am not sure yet what I plan to do after graduation; I have already been accepted to one college and I am weighing my options as I wait to hear from several more. I plan to pursue a career in broadcast journalism wherever I go, and I know that I will always remember my WDIS roots.
